AIG's board did not act irrationally in deciding not to join a lawsuit filed by a company controlled by AIG's former chairman and CEO Maurice "Hank" Greenberg.
Greenberg's lawsuit filed in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, alleges the government inappropriately handled its rescue of AIG, the company says in a court filing April 5.
In separate motions, AIG and the government are asking a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed in 2011 by Greenberg and his current company, Starr International—a suit that has already been amended twice.
