HYPERLINK "http://www.changesciences.com/cgi-bin/reports.html" Changesciences.com has recently released a report ranking the usability of online auto insurance web sites.
Geico, Progressive, and Esurance ranking first, second, and third, respectively. However, Change Sciences said that direct-to-consumer companies like Geico and Progressive are no longer the only ones that offer customers an option to buy an auto insurance policy online. Over the last six months, Nationwide, Travelers, Liberty Mutual, and American Family insurance companies have developed their web sites to allow customers to purchase auto insurance policies over the internet.
Another highlight of the 45-page report states that 96 percent of auto insurance sites omit at least one pertinent piece of information that consumers find persuasive when learning how the firm will handle their claim.
