Landmark Admin, a third-party administrator (TPA) for life insurance and annuity companies, says at least 1.6 million people were impacted by a data breach last spring.

The breach occurred last May and made news in the fall, when the company said it believed about 800,000 people were affected. But in an updated filing with the Maine Attorney General’s Office, Landmark now says the number of people impacted has actually doubled and stands at 1.6 million.
