Over half of U.S. consumers plan to travel more in 2025 than they did in 2024, according to a report by IPX.

The average travel budget for Americans in 2025 is $10,244, the data showed, which is nearly double the average budget in 2024 at $5,300. Nearly two in three Americans plan to use points or travel rewards to help cover travel costs.

“More than a quarter will take seven-day vacations, 21% will be going away for less than a week, 35% will be gone for 10 to 21 days, and 17% will travel for more than a month.,” IPX said in the report. “Beginning May 7, 2025, every U.S. resident will need to present a REAL ID compliant license or other acceptable form of identification to board commercial airplanes. Currently, 24% of Americans report not having a REAL ID, and among them, 64% do not know what it is or do not plan to get one before the May 7, deadline.”
