The fourth quarter of 2024 saw a record level of ransomware activity, with at least 1,663 victims, according to a new report from Travelers.

Fourth quarter activity was up 32% compared to the third quarter, and in 2024 overall, there was a 15% increase in reported attacks. There were 5,243 reported attacks all year, up from 4,548 attacks in 2023.
