Winter weather certainly poses its own set of risks, but according to new research, the most common time of year for accidents is actually in the summer. The study, which was conducted by Malloy Law Offices, found that an increase in outdoor activities and travel, as well as the use of fireworks, make July the most dangerous month.

“It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of the season, but it’s also important to recognize the risks and prepare accordingly,” Seann Malloy, personal injury law advocate at Malloy Law Offices, said in a release. “Making small adjustments — such as ensuring proper hydration, using sun protection, and following safety guidelines for water and fire-related activities — can make a big difference.”
