Nationwide and Peyton Manning want customers and NFL fans to know the Fortune 500 Company does more than home and auto insurance.
Nationwide’s latest advertising campaign, So Much More, spotlights the carrier’s other lines and place as one of America’s largest financial services companies.
The campaign includes two-time Super Bowl champion Peyton Manning in a series of ads showcasing his skills off the field. In the debut spot slated for Sep. 5 on NBC during the 2024 NFL season-opening game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, he is Paintin’ Manning.
“During our research, we learned that customers’ perceptions of Nationwide were not inaccurate, their perception was incomplete,” said Jennifer MacKenzie, Nationwide’s senior vice president of property casualty marketing.
“They knew us a trusted home and auto insurer, but many didn’t realize that we offer so much more than just those products,” she added. “So Much More is designed to remind Americans that while Nationwide remains a trusted auto and home insurer, we’re also a leading financial services company, the number one agribusiness insurer in the U.S.; number three as an excess and surplus lines carrier, and a major player in traditional commercial lines solutions and a leading pet insurer.”
According to Nationwide, the financial services business significantly outpaced the industry by doubling its sales totals over the last 10 years. During the same decade, the company nearly doubled the amount of protection it provided to customers while managing $400 billion in customer assets.
To date, Nationwide supports more than 2.7 million employer sponsored retirement plan participants.
“Nationwide is so much more than a business when it comes to giving back and recognizing others who do the same,” said Peyton Manning.
“For more than 10 years, Nationwide has presented the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, which highlights NFL players who are making a positive impact in their communities,” he continued. “It’s really important that Nationwide is bringing additional attention to those who are using their platforms to do so much good. These new ads showcase how people are frequently so much more than what they appear to be.”
