The Roadshow is part of the organization’s broader mission to advocate for, educate and create employment solutions for neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism, ADHD and PTSD. The organization recognizes the immense potential within the neurodivergent community and aims to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity in the insurance industry.
RIMS asked the risk community to help give back to San Diego’s most vulnerable. The RISKWORLD Community Service Project, sponsored by ESIS, will help support Sharia’s Closet, a San Diego nonprofit dedicated to providing children, teens, and adults with clothing and other everyday essentials. At RISKWORLD, risk professionals will assemble hygiene kits for Sharia’s Closet that will be made available at no cost to locals who rely on the charity’s services. Established in 2013, Sharia’s Closet has supported nearly 50,000 individuals, building their self-esteem and self-identity and empowering them to succeed in school, on job interviews, and overcome adversity. HandsOn San Diego, a local nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen the community through volunteer action, coordinated this project for RISKWORLD.
