Nomination deadline extended for 2024 workers' comp awards

The deadline to nominate is now May 1, 2024.

Winners will be recognized at the WCI’s 78th Annual Workers’ Compensation Institute Educational Conference and 35th Safety & Health Conference taken place at the Orlando World Center Marriott this August.

The nomination period for the Workers’ Comp Risk Management Award for Excellence is being extended to May 1, 2024.

Presented by PropertyCansualty360.com and the Workers’ Compensation Institute (WCI), with support from Safety National and Sedgwick, the awards program recognizes risk managers and employers whose safety, risk mitigation and return-to-work programs are success stories based on actual workplace results. Previous winners represent a variety of industries, ranging from a children’s hospital and a California city to a packaging company and a large airline.

Award requirements

An entrant must be a risk manager or someone who works in a risk management department of a U.S. company or organization and responsible at least in part for the firm’s workers’ comp program. Carriers and brokers, while not directly eligible for the award, should encourage clients/policyholders to apply. Applicants should have a great story to share about innovating workplace safety and managing costs.

Prior recipients of the Workers’ Comp Risk Management Award for Excellence are not eligible.

There is no entry fee for this award program and the nomination deadline is May 1, 2024.
