Consider that there are nearly 3 million apps available to download on the Google Play Store, according to BuildFire, and 70% of all digital media use in the U.S. comes from mobile apps. When it comes to auto insurance carriers, their apps get high marks when they enable policyholders to easily access documents, pay bills, file claims and more. "With the accessibility of smartphones and tablets, car insurance apps have become standard offerings from the nation's top auto insurers," Daniel Robinson and Rashawn Mitchner wrote in a recent MarketWatch Guide to the Best Car Insurance Apps. "They simplify drivers' auto insurance experiences and can often save policyholders both time and money."
