Issues impacting workers, including wages, job advancement and workplace safety, continue to weigh heavy on the minds of Americans, according to a survey by JUST Capital, which annually ranks the performance of the largest publicly traded U.S. companies on the issues that matter most to Americans today. The 2023 poll of more than 3,000 Americans identified the issues as essential to a "just' business including paying a fair and livable wage, creating domestic jobs, ethical leadership, protecting worker safety, and supporting workforce retention, advancement and training. Overall, 41 insurance companies (including health and life) were named on the list from JUST Capital, which ranked the 10 P&C companies featured in the above slideshow as the most just P&C insurers for 2023. In total, JUST Capital's list ranked 951 companies across industries. According to JUST, companies that make its list have a 4.5% higher profit margin, 2.3% higher return on equity and paid five times more in dividends compared with other corporations ranked for the study. These companies also record 42% fewer workplace incidents. Related: |
