Liberty Mutual Insurance's sitting Chairman and CEO David H. Long will retire at the end of this year, the company reported. Timothy M. Sweeney, who was named company president in 2021, has been selected to succeed him. Long will serve as executive chairman of the board following his retirement, while Sweeney's CEO appointment will start in January 2023. Sweeney has already joined the board. MAPFRE USA announced that Jesse Zimmerman joined the leadership team as vice president of commercial lines. He served in small commercial and personal lines at Travelers Insurance, Hartford Financial Services Group and Allstate. Liberty Company Insurance Brokers announce that Vance Sible joined as executive vice president. He served at Homestead Smart Health Plans as president of the New Jersey and Southern New York markets. BMS Re appointed Jennifer Nodes as managing director, U.S. deputy general counsel. She served as a principal at Jackson Lewis P.C. Alera Group appointed John Mollica as chief information and innovation officer. He previously held senior finance and transformation roles at Citigroup, AXA XL, and Marsh & McLennan. Prodigy Care Services appointed Maryann Manning as senior vice president of national accounts. She served as vice president/regional account executive for Sedgwick and as a risk manager for a large, multi-national manufacturing company.
