Nominations open for the 2022 Workers’ Comp Risk Management Award
"Each of these award winners recognize how to solve or be attentive to existing workers’ compensation issues."
Today’s workplaces are juggling a myriad of fresh demands including talent challenges, technology updates and the pressure to exercise smart social programs.
Workplace culture is now key to building a productive organization, and worker safety and wellness strategies are pivotal to that goal.
To that end, our publications along with the Workers’ Compensation Institute (WCI), Sedgwick and Safety National are thrilled to be able to recognize companies that are setting the pace for workplace risk management in 2022 with our annual Workers’ Comp Risk Management Award for Excellence.
Nominations for the 2022 award are now open.
WCI Co-founder James McConnaughhay explains that the annual Workers’ Compensation Risk Management Award for Excellence recognizes risk managers and employers whose employee safety, risk mitigation and return-to-work programs are success stories based on actual workplace results.
“Each of these award winners recognize how to solve or be attentive to existing workers’ compensation issues,” McConnaughhay says. “Their individual efforts create successful programs that result in savings for their employees.”
Award-winning workers’ comp programs also take into account the fluid nature of employee needs and trends. “What worked yesterday may not be the answer today,” McConnaughhay says.
The Workers’ Comp Risk Management Award for Excellence recognizes those with outstanding loss control, safety and return-to-work programs. In 2021, the three award winners who embodied these ideals were:
- Children’s National Hospital, which has successfully forged a culture of safety;
- Adecco, a temporary staffing company whose safety expertise helps establish strong employer partnerships; and
- Monmouth County, where local government leaders take a holistic approach to employee wellness.
The 2022 Workers’ Comp Risk Management Award for Excellence nomination period begins March 15, 2022 and runs through May 6, 2022.
Up to Three Winners Will Receive:
- An exclusive feature profile in the August 2022 issue of NU Property & Casualty magazine as well as online at PropertyCasualty360.com. Winners also are interviewed by Out Front Ideas podcast hosts Mark Walls and Kimberly George.
- Complimentary registration for the 76th Annual Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference and 33rd Safety & Health Conference, happening Aug. 21-24, 2022 at the Orlando World Center Marriott;
