NFP acquired East Coast Underwriters, LLC and Blue Ridge Captive Solutions PCC, Inc. The acquisition enhances NFP’s medical stop loss and self-funded group captive business, its scale and underwriting talent, and solidifies NFP’s best-in-class position in providing tailored solutions to self-insured employer groups. The transaction closed December 23, 2021.

NFP acquired Helios HR, LLC, an HR outsourcing, consulting and recruitment services firm. The transaction closed in January of 2022.

NFP partnered with Austin FC of Major League Soccer. Austin has long been one of NFP’s most important locations and this partnership enables the company to collaborate with Austin FC to expand its involvement and support of the community.

Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation announced Jim Shevlin, Executive Vice President and Regional Executive Officer for Chubb’s Southeast Region, as Chair of the IICF Southeast Division Georgia Chapter Board of Directors. Shevlin previously served as Vice Chair of the Georgia Chapter for the past two years, and Developmental Chair. Along with other chapter leaders he spearheaded the inaugural Georgia Chapter Gala, held on February 3, which raised more than $150,000 for the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House and the Atlanta Youth Academy.

CCC Intelligent Solutions acquired Safekeep, an AI leader in subrogation claims management technology. Safekeep is an enterprise platform that leverages AI to speed and improve subrogation management across auto, property, workers’ comp and other insurance lines of business. The acquisition of Safekeep is a natural next step in CCC’s vision to deliver end-to-end straight-through claims processing.

Synapse Services LLC launched an environmental liability Defined Risk program, enabling retail brokers to meet the coverage demand of traditionally underserved mid-size insureds that face complex environmental risks.  Synapse Services’ newly created group of dedicated professionals will offer environmental casualty products, contractors’ pollution and professional liability, and storage tank protection for companies with revenues of up to $50 million.

battleface partnered with insurtech leader, Pattern Insurance. The new partnership introduces modern and consumer-centric enhancements. Launched in the U.S. market in March 2021, battleface is rapidly evolving the traditional travel insurance space using an unbundled approach to benefits,  its innovative modular tech platform, and skilled underwriting.
