Welcome to the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association’s 2021 Annual Marketplace.

We are so pleased to host an in-person event in San Diego. We are expecting more than 4,380 industry professionals for an outstanding lineup of business, networking and educational events this week.

As a reminder, the first stop for attendees should be the WSIA/Safe Expo tent on the Marina Terrace behind the Marriott, where you will pick up your event badge after verifying either your COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a qualifying negative test. Once you have done that, we look forward to seeing you at WSIA events. The Safe Expo and Badge Pickup tent is open from 2-7 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 16, and we hope you will plan to stop by the Professional and Financial Lines Reception in the same area from 4-5:30 p.m. that day.

The Annual Marketplace officially launches on the morning of Wed., Nov. 17 with six Brokers’ Lounge Zones and The Club open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Then, please join us at the Opening Reception on Wednesday from 4–6 p.m., outdoors between the Hyatt and Marriott for music, drinks and light appetizers before heading out for evening commitments.

All registered attendees are also encouraged to attend the U40-hosted education sessions this week at the Marriott. They include a Nov. 17 education session on parametric insurance, and another on Nov. 18 featuring an executive panel of industry leaders followed by a networking reception.

Also on Nov. 17, the Annual Marketplace will feature a Program Specialist Lounge in the Marriott Grand Ballroom Foyer, just outside The Club.

Thank you to those of you who are attending WSIA’s 2021 Annual Marketplace. We appreciate your commitment to the association and your patience with the evolving event requirements related to COVID-19. Please don’t hesitate to let any member of the WSIA team know if we can help make the event more productive for you.
