He enjoys writing and speaking about unique fraud, cyber and crime trends. He has been invited to speak at a CPCU conferment and the FBI’s InfraGard counterterrorism conferences. He is the recipient of the FBI’s Exceptional Service in the Public Interest Award. He is also the author of crime fiction, where he has been awarded Best Popular Fiction by the Florida Book Awards. |

Michael Carr | Head of Risk Engineering – US & Canada | Coalition Michael leads the cyber and technology E&O Risk Engineering (Underwriting) team for SME business at Coalition. He has portfolio responsibilities for policy forms and underwriting guidelines across the SME and Middle Market books of business. Prior to joining Coalition in 2019, he headed the cyber and technology insurance underwriting team for Brit Global Specialty USA. He has 34 years of experience in insurance including 18 years focused on cyber and technology risks. In 2014, he was one of the founding co-chairs of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society’s cyber symposium. Danielle Simon | Lead Underwriter, Retail P&C | QBE North America Danielle is a results-driven underwriting professional with more than 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, with an emphasis on middle market business. Before joining QBE in 2020, she served as an Underwriting Consultant at CNA. Before CNA, she worked at Travelers Insurance for eight years in underwriting positions of increasing responsibility. She began her career at Zurich North America, where she entered as part of its Associate Program and then took on a business analyst role. Brian Curley | Small Business Underwriting Team Leader | Westerfield Brian leads a team of underwriters, driving new business growth and maintaining renewals. Prior to his current role, Brian was a Middle Market Field Manager, identifying new business opportunities across Indiana. He also spent time as a Small Business Underwriter in several other states and is a graduate of Westfield’s Development Program. Brian is originally from Summit, NJ and holds a B.S. in Business with a major in Finance and concentration in Insurance and Risk Management from Miami University in Ohio.
