It's nearly impossible to talk about the impact the past year has had on the insurance industry without acknowledging the resilience of agents in the face of an unprecedented crisis. Insurance agents had to be creative problem solvers while pivoting away from the traditional ways of conducting business — all while maintaining high standards of customer service and long-term profitable growth. Today, Travelers announced its 2021 Personal Insurance Agents of the Year, an esteemed group of insurance professionals who have exhibited strength and commitment during the industry's most challenging year. "This exceptional group of agents reached a high standard of success this year, and we are proud to call them our partners," Michael Klein, executive vice president and president of personal insurance at Travelers, said in a statement. "We applaud each of them for having the tools, talent, and resourcefulness to go above and beyond for their customers during this uniquely challenging time." Travelers selected its 2021 Agent of the Year Award recipients from the more than 13,000 independent agents the insurer works with countrywide. The honorees include:
