Derek Winkler's extensive insurance experience includes over 15 years leading actuarial, data science, product development, and product management organizations at the industry's top carriers, including Nationwide and Hanover.

Known for his strong business acumen, quantitative analysis, and drive for innovation, Derek focused on building relationships with internal and external business partners to build positive change and enhanced profitability. For eight years, Derek has taught undergraduate classes as an adjunct professor at Ohio's Ashland University, where he also acquired his MBA in Executive Management, Magna Cum Laude. He earned his Bachelors in Applied Mathematics with minors in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron.
