Since the U.S. began its COVID-19 inoculation process on Dec. 14, 2020, more than 57 million doses have been administered to approximately 12.4% of the total population, according to CDC data reported by NPR. A majority of these vaccinated individuals include frontline workers and employees at 'essential' businesses.
