Here are the P&C insurance events to have on your radar this January through March.

Editor’s Note: At the start of every quarter, we publish upcoming P&C insurance events and conferences around the U.S. Many industry events have been postponed, canceled, or changed amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The information included in this article is as recent as the date of publication. Please refer to each event’s website for the latest information. 

January

NACA 45th Annual ConventionCatastrophe insurance adjusters will gather at this annual convention for networking and educational sessions.

Derecho and Severe Weather Virtual SummitThis summit is designed to provide insurance professionals with the latest insight on derechos, severe convective storms, and extreme weather.

Gamma Iota Sigma 2021 Regional Conference Series: Two virtual events will provide a forum for students from GIS chapters, at-large members, applicant schools, and non-GIS students interested in insurance careers to expand their industry knowledge and connect with industry professionals, career opportunities, and resources. Each event includes a career fair, networking, and educational sessions.

2021 Virtual Joint Industry Forum: This event titled “Virtually Together: Insuring Our Way Forward” will feature industry leaders who will share their insights on climate change, public policy priorities, industry challenges and more.

WSIA’s Surplus Lines ManagementThis program combines industry knowledge and training from Emory Unversity to offer E&S professionals training on how to motivate teams, manage conflict, build a book of business and increase company value and performance through effective relationships and a broadened industry perspective.

WIND 2021: This annual event draws windstorm/property insurance claims professionals for continuing education and networking opportunities, as well as discussion of windstorm and related property insurance claims issues.

2021 CIRB Annual MeetingCIRB’s 57th Annual Meeting will feature speakers and opportunities to interact with leaders in the crop insurance industry.

APCIA Virtual Executive Roundtable Conference: This members-only event for CEOs and C-suite insurance executives will address the issues facing the industry in 2021 and beyond.

Verisk Elevate 2021Industry leaders will gather for discussions about key changes in the industry and how companies can adapt to changing conditions and opportunities in the industry today, with a focus on innovation and technology. The event also will include a training session on February 11.

IICF Southeast Division’s 9th Annual Gala Celebration:  The IICF invites all to attend its 2021 Benefit Events to give back and celebrate its commitment to supporting those in need. The funds raised from these events will benefit IICF’s Community Grants Program in each division, which supports at-risk individuals and families struggling with food insecurity, homelessness, educational access, health issues and more.

APCIA Virtual Emerging Leaders Conference: More than 100 insurance professionals from across the country were selected as “Emerging Leaders” and invited to attend the Emerging Leaders Conference. The virtual conference, hosted by APCIA, the Insurance Careers Movement (ICM), and AM Best is designed to bring together and recognize talented rising stars in the insurance industry and is held in conjunction with the Annual Insurance Careers Month in February,

2021 WSIA Underwriting SummitThe interactive virtual Underwriting Summit will provide networking opportunities and an opportunity for the leadership of all member firms to collaborate on strategic issues facing the marketplace. WSIA members also will elect new officers and directors and recognize recipients of the association’s leadership and service awards during the event.

2021 Virtual Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee CLE Seminar: This year’s seminar will feature the latest developments in insurance law from leading lawyers and insurance professionals.

IICF Midwest Division’s 10th Annual Blazing the Trail Benefit: The IICF invites all to attend its 2021 Benefit Events to give back and celebrate its commitment to supporting those in need. The funds raised from these events will benefit IICF’s Community Grants Program in each division, which supports at-risk individuals and families struggling with food insecurity, homelessness, educational access, health issues and more.

Extreme Risk Takers Symposium for Risk Management and Insurance MajorsThe WSIA Education Foundation is sponsoring the Extreme Risk Takers Symposium Series for students majoring in risk management and insurance, actuarial science, finance or business, as well as a student interested in learning more about the insurance industry. Attendees will hear from wholesale, specialty and surplus lines professionals, and each event will feature a career fair and networking reception.

Insurance Innovators Fraud & Claims 2021This virtual event will include two episodes dedicated to fraud and two episodes focused on claims, including key topics and trends impacting these areas of insurance.

InsurTech Spring Conference 2021: InsurTech NY and InsurTech Hartford are hosting a joint virtual event that will feature speakers from insurance carriers and brokers making strides in innovation InsurTech startups. InsurTech NY also will hot its Global InsurTech competition during the conference, where the top ten startups from the competition will present.

IICF U.K Division’s Fifth Anniversary Celebration: The IICF invites all to attend its 2021 Benefit Events to give back and celebrate its commitment to supporting those in need. NCOIL Spring 2021 MeetingThe semi-annual meeting of state legislators with a focus on insurance legislation and regulation.

CICA 2021 International ConferenceCICA’s annual conference brings together captive professionals from around the world to explore new uses of captives, to engage new talent, and outline best practices.

WSIA Effective Coaching: A program designed for surplus lines managers who want to become more effective leaders and strengthen their coaching skills to improve team performance.

CAT Risk Management and Modelling Online Summit: The only independent global CAT risk conference series will feature a discussion between re/insurers, modelers, brokers, climate scientists, NAT CAT specialists, cyber modelers, ILS managers, and other members of the insurance risk fraternity, on how we can provide practical solutions to these pressing problems.

Insurance Innovators USA: This event is an opportunity for insurance carriers to connect with innovators and disruptors and gain insights from those changing insurance. Discussions will debate new ideas, unpack the latest trends and build partnerships.

2021 WSIA Insurtech Conference: This WSIA virtual event will provide a comprehensive slate of sessions that will highlight the imperative of developing a digital strategy, including artificial intelligence, data analytics and other solutions designed to expand markets, collaborate, streamline the distribution chain and enhance the customer experience.
