From an insurance-industry perspective, 2020 was about as calm as a bull in a china shop.

Whether responding to clients with workplace safety concerns in the age of COVID-19, fielding pandemic-related business-interruption claims or those arising from civil unrest and natural disasters, insurance agents are the industry’s front-line soldiers.

And many of them — many of you — have had one heck of a year.

That’s why the team at NU Property & Casualty magazine and PropertyCasualty360.com, along with our partner in this project, the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA), recently started collecting responses for our Independent Agent Survey. We expect this survey cycle to provide a distinct and revealing look at how 2020′s many loss events uniquely impacted today’s independent insurance agents.

This year’s survey findings also will provide key insights into the evolving insurance market, customer demands and persistent challenges that agents face.

We’re gathering survey responses now so we can analyze and publish the data in early next year.

Make sure your voice is heard by following this link to the survey. Then, check back with PropertyCasualty360.com and NU Property & Casualty magazine in early 2021 as we summarize and analyze the results.
