Patra along with AmWINS Group, CRC Group, Heffernan Insurance Brokers, are among the companies that have formed InsurConneXtions Alliance, a strategic alliance that will prioritize, develop and integrate specific technology solutions into critical insurance processes for the purposes of driving processing efficiencies and industry standards.
CFC launched a new solution aimed to address intellectual property infringement risks facing buyers undertaking a merger or acquisition. Leveraging its IP insurance product along with its mid-market M&A insurance products, CFC says its new solution offers protection to buyers for IP infringement risks associated with their merger or acquisition.
Mercury Insurance announced two new programs to help Californians better protect their homes and families if they live in areas prone to wildfires. Homeowners who take one or more steps to either harden their homes against wildfires or live in a community recognized by the National Fire Protection Association® as a Firewise USA® site will be eligible to receive discounts of up to 18%. Homeowners who have a California Fair Access to Insurance Requirements Plan policy are also able to strengthen their protection with Mercury’s new difference-in-conditions endorsement, which fills the gaps in their FAIR Plan coverage.
Intact Financial Corporation officially brings together its Canadian and U.S. specialty capabilities under a single brand: Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions. The U.S. businesses had previously operated under the OneBeacon Insurance Group and The Guarantee Company of North America brands in the U.S., following the 2017 and 2019 acquisitions of these specialty companies, respectively.
Tangram Insurance Services, Inc. and Markel Corporation, on behalf of its affiliated insurance companies, have launched a program to provide excess liability above Tangram’s current program in the propane and fuel distribution niche.
Zurich North America launched a medical stop-loss insurance offering for larger employers with self-funded group health plans administered by national carriers. The newly admitted product is the result of a collaboration with Medical Risk Managers, a program administrator based in South Windsor, Connecticut, that specializes in writing medical stop loss in this space.
Petplan and The Dodo joined forces to create Fetch by The Dodo, a pet insurance and wellness brand. Fetch will provide policyholders with a personalized insurance product and will utilize Petplan’s proprietary pet health data and new technology adaptions. Fetch also plans to connect The Dodo’s highly-engaged audience of pet parents with one another. Petplan will officially relaunch as Fetch in 2021. With the creation of this partnership, Fetch begins with more than 250,000 members.
Sapiens International Corporation won Celent’s XCelent award in the ‘Breadth of Functionality’ category in North America for Sapiens UnderwritingPro for Life & Annuities. This marks the eleventh XCelent award Sapiens has received to date.
NJM Insurance Group kicked off National Teen Driver Safety Week 2020 (October 18 – 24) with a “Share the Keys” challenge on Instagram Reels (IG Reels). The challenge coincides with NJM’s month-long social media campaign recognizing October as Distracted Driving Awareness Month. NJM worked with partners throughout the region to create an IG Reels video featuring the Philadelphia 76ers’ Center Norvel Pelle and the team’s mascot, Franklin the Dog, two-time Olympic gold medalist and World Cup Champion Carli Lloyd, and 2020 Miss New Jersey Jade Glab, as well as representatives from regional safety organizations.
