USI Affinity and the American Bar Association (ABA) partnered with Berkley Select, a Berkley Company, to offer a new Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) program for law firms nationwide.
USI Insurance Services acquired Minnesota-based Hildi Incorporated. Founded in 2004, Hildi is a regional actuarial consulting firm specializing in actuarial retirement plan services, including the design, administration, accounting and valuation of defined benefit pension plans, cash balance plans, post-retirement health and welfare plans. The company’s operations will be combined with USI Consulting Group, a division of USI, and a provider of defined contribution and benefit plan consulting and administration services. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The 2020 exhibition of the AXA Art Prize finalists is now live and open for viewing online. The virtual gallery is an interactive space celebrating past & future winners of the prize. The gallery features the chosen works and bios of the 40 finalists competing for this year’s prize. In a self-guided tour, visitors can also view the works of past winners and learn about the history of the AXA Art Prize. The virtual exhibition also features an essay from expert curator and writer Antwaun Sargent.
AXA XL‘s North American construction insurance business is building tailored insurance programs and services for construction projects that qualify as a “Highly Protected Project” because of their implementation of technologies designed to reduce project risk.
The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. expanded its TAP Sales online quote and issuance capability to now include management liability and miscellaneous professional liability products. With this addition, Hanover says its agent partners can now easily quote, rate, bind and issue stand-alone specialty policies for small-business clients. In addition, Hanover says the expansion of online quoting and issuance for management liability and miscellaneous professional liability allows agents to:
- Obtain aggregate limits of up to $2 million online
- Select one, or a combination of, management liability coverage parts
- Easily create multiple, tailored quotes by copying an initial quote and modifying limit, deductible, and coverage options
- Align policy bill schedules with existing bills
- Generate a professional binder or a quote proposal for use with customers
- Obtain instant access to declarations packages upon issuance
Travelers Companies, Inc. launched IndustryEdge for Professional Services, a tailored business insurance solution. The new product offers coverages that include general liability, property, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, professional liability and cyber to help customers mitigate industry-specific risks such as data breaches, theft and lawsuits. IndustryEdge for Professional Services is specially designed to meet the individual needs of architects, engineers, accountants, consultants, lawyers and others.
RIMS and J.B. Boda Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., Insurance Brokerage and Risk Management solutions entities, have agreed to jointly develop and deliver risk management content, market research and education for risk professionals around the world.
EagleView partnered with Skydio for automated residential roof inspection with drones, delivering Skydio House Scan™ to several major country markets. The companies say this multi-year partnership is expected to “present the power of precision drone technology and AI to insurance carriers, claims adjusters, and government bodies, which is expected to result in one of the largest ever commercial drone deployments with thousands of units deployed.”
Agency Network Exchange, LLC announced the addition of Strickler Insurance Agency, Inc. in Lebanon, Penn., growing the network to sixteen agencies in the state.
Restoration Industry Association announced a $25,000 investment from Restoration Affiliates, which will be used to support the association’s Advocacy and Government Affairs initiatives to advance the voice of contractors in the industry. The Restoration Industry Association says its AGA committee is the restoration industry’s first unified advocacy team. AGA says it seeks to unite the restoration industry and advocate for the best interests of restoration contractors nationwide and develop and implement strategies to help create and maintain equity between restorers and insurers and their partners.
