Insurance policy language often can be vague, contradictory, and difficult to interpret. Confusion about coverage can be further exacerbated in complex situations.

Consider the following: A home sustained damaged by a covered loss that rendered the premise uninhabitable before the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of stay-at-home and social distancing mandates, the home’s repair process is taking longer than expected. Will Additional Living Expense coverage respond to this delay?

What about this scenario? A contractor was hired to do road work for a municipality but accidentally hit a train boxcar, causing significant damage. However, the boxcar was sitting on the tracks, unused at the time of the accident. Is the railroad entitled to payment for a loss of use?

These questions and many others will be addressed in an upcoming webinar hosted by the experts behind FC&S Expert Coverage Interpretation. The event will include discussions about the most interesting or complex questions received by FC&S and how they interpret policies to provide coverage answers in both personal and commercials lines.
