Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies announced it added Missouri, Washington, and Wisconsin to the list of states where it offers homeowners insurance.

Coalition, a cyber insurance and security provider, announced it has entered the excess cyber insurance market to help protect middle-market businesses with enhanced coverage and free access to Coalition’s cybersecurity capabilities, including attack surface monitoring, an in-house response team of security experts, and a suite of services and tools.

Branch has closed a $24 million Series A funding round. The round was co-led by Greycroft and HSCM Bermuda, with participation from returning investors American Family Ventures and Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, as well as new investors SignalFire, SCOR Global P&C, Elefund, Foundation Capital, and individuals from Stone Point Capital. Branch says its “seamless data integrations” eliminate the traditional insurance application and quote estimate, presenting clients with an instant, purchasable price instead of just an estimate.

Big “I” Agents Council for Technology has released an updated version of its free Agency Cyber Guide. Big “I” says the guide aims to provide crucial insights to the independent agency channel on cyber and technology issues. It has improved navigation with all-new flow and screens, as well as updated resources. The new version also includes real-world independent agent breach examples and a redesigned compliance roadmap.

HGGC assisted portfolio company PCF Insurance in the acquisition of four regional brokerages since HGGC invested in the business in April. The brokerages that have joined PCF are First Fidelity BrokerageHorizon InsuranceMoulton Insurance and Avidity InsurancePCF is a national commercial insurance brokerage providing risk management and employee benefits solutions to small and mid-sized businesses and personal clients.

ICW Group Insurance Companies announced the launch of Safety OnDemand, a new e-learning safety platform for its workers’ compensation policyholders. The new online safety and learning management system provides ICW Group policyholders with free access to a host of customizable resources, including information and guidance on safety topics across hundreds of industries. Topics range from COVID-19 and weather-related preparedness to sexual harassment and OSHA compliance.

Hilb Group, LLC has acquired Michigan-based CIA Financial Group, Inc, effective on July 1, 2020. CIA is an independent insurance agency that delivers insurance and risk management solutions to a diverse set of customers throughout Michigan. As a part of the transaction, Sam Crudo, CIA agency leader, and his associates will join THG’s Midwest operations and continue to work out of their existing location in Shelby Township, Michigan.

Amynta Group has acquired Pivotal Solutions, Inc., based in Fishers, Indiana. Founded in 1999, Pivotal Solutions is a strategic partner to automotive dealer groups, providing F&I solutions, training and development to drive customer engagement and deliver superior F&I performance for its dealers. Pivotal Solutions establishes Amynta Dealer Services’ presence in the Midwest and will continue to operate under the leadership of Rob Norris.

Insubuy, Inc. is promoting timely insurance offerings for travelers during the COVID-19 pandemic, including international students and exchange visitors in need of practical insurance coverage. Consumers can shop various insurance policies that provide COVID-19 coverage online.

IMA Financial Group acquired HofgardBenefits, a Louisville, Colorado-based employee benefits agency, on July 1. IMA says the HofgardBenefits acquisition augments the company’s employee benefits business segment that’s dedicated to companies with fewer than 100 employees. Two team members also join the IMA employee benefits team: Preston Hardy and Sammie Haas. Hardy is an account executive with nearly a decade of industry experience and Haas is an account coordinator.
