President Trump canceled the Republican Presidential Convention set to take place next month. "I told my team it's time to cancel the Jacksonville, Florida, component of the GOP convention," Trump said at the White House.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revised its guidance on how long an individual needs to be isolated following a COVID-19 infection. "For most persons with COVID-19 illness, isolation and precautions can generally be discontinued 10 days after symptom onset and resolution of fever for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medications, and with improvement of other symptoms," the CDC said.
Travelers' Chief Executive Officer Alan Schnitzer said, "We shouldn't let frivolous lawsuits undermine the nation's recovery," on a conference call Thursday, July 23. Travelers reported a net loss of $40 million in second-quarter 2020; the company's reported a profit of $557 million a year prior.
