Beazley has launched a contingency policy designed to cover event organizers if a transmission failure disrupts or cancels a virtual event. Beazley’s virtual events transmission policy supports organizers whose success relies on technology platforms providing seamless transmission or broadcast to their audiences. If an event is cancelled due to transmission failure, the policy covers first-party losses including organizational costs, expenses, or gross revenue from advertising and ticket sales. The cover is available on a global basis and offers limits of up to $10m.

Parts of the Invest online insurance curriculum will be incorporated into LiNC’s summer Virtual Professional Development Series and will be taught to students by insurance professionals within the LiNC network.

American International Group, Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement with Safeco Insurance and Heritage Insurance Holdings, Inc., to offer AIG Private Client Group’s agents the ability to transition their upper middle market personal insurance business to Safeco and Heritage. This transition will take place beginning in the fourth quarter of 2020, subject to regulatory requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
BB&T Insurance Holdings, Inc. announced that it is now doing business as Truist Insurance Holdings, Inc. With $30 billion in premium in 2019, Truist Insurance Holdings is the fifth-largest insurance broker in the U.S. and sixth-largest in the world. The new name links the insurance brokerage to its owner, Truist Financial Corporation, which was created in late 2019 through the merger of BB&T and SunTrust.
