The world of workers' compensation is nearly always changing, but one thing that is fairly consistent is the insurance companies and groups that conduct business in the workers' compensation marketplace. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) released its annual rankings of the top 25 insurance groups and companies in the workers' compensation market by countrywide premium. The analysis also included each group and company's direct premiums earned and market share percentage, among other figures. Under workers' compensation, the 2019 industry total for direct premiums written was $56,132,546,749 and the total for direct premiums earned was $56,390,991,630. Many of the organizations on this year's list were also on NAIC's list in 2018, but their order in the top 25 groups and companies has changed. With this in mind, here are 2019′s top 25 groups and companies for workers' compensation in the slideshow above. Related: |
