As we’ve done for the last three years, NU Property & Casualty, in partnership with the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) will survey PropertyCasualty360 and NUPC readers and PIA members in a project to provide better understanding of the challenges agents face in 2020 as well as their technology needs. In addition, the survey will help us paint a picture of what independent insurance agents look like in 2020.

The fourth annual survey, which launches this week, will be hosted online by the experts at ALM Intelligence, a division of ALM Media, LLC, our parent company. The questionnaire will be distributed to our proprietary lists of agents and brokers nationwide as well as PIA’s national membership.

Key highlights of this research project will be shared in print and online as a data-rich cover feature of charts, graphs and editorial analysis in NUPC’s April 2020 print edition, as well as on PropertyCasualty360.com.

This survey, which only take a short time to complete, gives independent agents an opportunity to share with the entire P&C industry exactly what’s on their minds. Among other things, we want to know your thoughts on insurance technology and how it affects you and your agency. We’re also asking about the most significant challenges you’re facing day-to-day as well as long term.

Independent agents can look for the e-mail invitation to the survey link beginning this week. I sincerely hope you’ll take the time to answer the questions and share your thoughts.
