Gallagher Bassett appoints Mike Hessling CEO, North America

Gallagher Bassett (GB) promoted Mike Hessling to CEO, North America. He will report directly to Scott Hudson, the company’s global CEO.

“Mike has been a leader with GB for over seven years and has a tremendous track record as North America chief client officer, leading our sales and account management teams,” GB Global CEO Scott Hudson said in a statement. “He has also been a driving force behind the building of our industry-leading analytics team. Mike’s knowledge of the North America market, proven ability to work across all functions and passion for GB’s culture and team, makes him the perfect person to lead our North America business.”

Looking forward

As the company has grown over the past decade, the North America business diversified across market segments and capabilities. The growth and diversification made it necessary for the Gallagher Bassett to prioritize investment and focus on execution of its North America strategy.

His three main responsibilities are delivering on its commitment to clients, growing the business and driving execution of key initiatives throughout the business.
