Insurance Technologies Corporation (ITC), a provider of websites, marketing, comparative rating and management software and services, announced it has acquired Agency Matrix, an insurance technology provider. Founded in 2004, Agency Matrix’s product offerings include its agency management system, insurance agency websites, document management, and a virtual employee. The acquisition of Agency Matrix will extend ITC’s agency management system offering.

Novidea, the data-driven insurance distribution platform, today announces its new partnership with Xceedance, a global provider of insurance consulting, managed services, technology, data sciences, and blockchain solutions, that will allow Novidea to increase its global reach and services. Novidea provides a core cloud-based platform, connecting all insurance distributors to a modern, digital and data-driven insurance ecosystem, which leverages the Salesforce Cloud and artificial intelligence (AI). Novidea drives digital transformation for brokers, agents, MGAs and insurers, through powerful data analytics, digital customer engagement and a specialized insurance CRM.

Risk Strategies has acquired Transport Risk Management, Inc., a national specialist in aviation-related insurance and risk management. Terms of the deal were not made public. Located just outside of Denver in Conifer, Colorado, Transport Risk was founded in 2003 by its current president, Terry Miller, who has worked in the aviation insurance industry for over 20 years. The acquisition of Transport Risk also brings wholesale capabilities as the firm has managing general agent authority with a major international carrier for its specialty drone program.

Aon announced its acquisition of Cytelligence Inc, a Canadian-based cybersecurity firm that provides incident response advisory, digital forensic expertise, security consulting services and cybersecurity training for employees to help organizations respond to threats and strengthen their security position. Aon says the acquisition will help expand its current coverages within the cyber market at a time when cyber claims are almost doubling year-over-year.

Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) has acquired Los Angeles-based Momentous Insurance Brokerage, a full-service risk management and employee benefits firm specializing in high net worth private client services and insurance solutions for the entertainment industry. All 220 colleagues will join MMA from their three offices in Los Angeles and Torrance, California, and New York City. Diane Brinson, President and CEO of Momentous, will continue to lead operations. MMA is a subsidiary of Marsh established in 2008 to serve as a platform for the middle market. MMA offers commercial property, casualty, personal lines, and employee benefits to midsize businesses and individuals across North America.

International General Insurance Holdings Ltd. (IGI) announced it has received regulatory approval from the Bermuda Monetary Authority in connection with its previously announced business combination with Tiberius Acquisition Corp., a publicly-traded special purpose acquisition company. This approval, received on January 28, 2020, is one of the necessary steps towards successfully completing the transaction with Tiberius. IGI is awaiting approval from additional regulatory agencies including the Prudential Regulation Authority (UK) and the Dubai Financial Services Authority.

The Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) is in pursuit of virtual judges to rate and provide feedback on some of the nation’s best insurance marketing and communications innovations of 2019 in IMCA’s annual Showcase Awards. In 2019, more than 45 judges participated in the virtual judging process of 203 awards entries in 36 categories. Judging criteria included background on why the program or product was created, target audience, objectives (strategy/measurable success criteria) and results. Beginning April 4, 2020, IMCA invites insurance advertisers, marketers, public relations practitioners and corporate communicators in the United States to apply. Award winners will be announced at the 2020 IMCA Showcase Awards Gala in Orlando at the Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate on June 24, 2020.
