"In the beginning, I looked around and could not find quite the car I dreamed of. So I decided to build it myself." Not only did Ferry Porsche achieve this for himself — he built the dream car for millions of others. In the past hundred years, countless of other automakers from around the world have churned out vehicles and motorcycles that have earned a spot on vehicle enthusiasts' wish-lists. Although some collector cars have ostentatious price tags, others can be surprisingly affordable — especially when purchased at the right time. Hagerty's annual Bull Market list features classic cars that are rising fastest in value and popularity. Curated by the valuation experts at Hagerty, this year's list includes 11 vehicles, including a motorcycle, that was compiled using data from the Hagerty Price Guide, Hagerty Valuation Tools, Hagerty auction research and requests for insurance quotes. "While placing emphasis on a car's monetary value over other virtues is not always a top priority, our team carefully tracks the value trends throughout the year to build this list," Brian Rabold, vice president of valuation services of Hagerty, said in a release. "It not only keeps car enthusiasts well-informed on their investments but also helps them to learn more about their interests and car culture in general." Fans of the vehicles featured on the 2020 list "might want to buy soon before they miss their chance," says Hagerty, as they'll likely get more expensive as time goes on. Luckily, collector car owners don't necessarily have to worry about overpriced car insurance. Hagerty, which specializes in insuring such vehicles, asserts that classic car insurance offers some key benefits when compared to "traditional" auto insurance, including lower premiums, no fixed milage and "agreed value" coverage.
