Whether it's visiting family and friends or embarking on a long-awaited vacation, there are many reasons why people take time around the holidays to travel. This year is expected to be the busiest holiday travel season on record, with more than 112 million travelers — 7 million, of which, will travel by runway. To help with travel preparations, InsureMyTrip analyzed non-stop domestic flights by major air carriers reported for 2019 thus far by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics to predict the busiest airports during the 2019 Christmas week. Find out the top ten busiest U.S. airports for travel this week in the slideshow above, according to InsureMyTrip. To relieve some of the stress of airport travel, InsurMyTrip suggests that voyagers use the My TSA mobile app to check security line wait times and plan accordingly to prepare for long lines during the peak holiday travel week.
