American International Group Inc. (AIG) appointed Allison Barrett global head of multinational, general insurance, effective Dec. 9, 2019. Barrett joins AIG from Willis Towers Watson, where she served as managing director and global head of the company's financial institutions business within the financial, executive and professional risk specialty group since 2017. Shanil Williams has been appointed global head of financial lines at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE. He has served as global head of commercial for financial lines since August 2018. Sompo International Holdings Ltd. (SIH) appointed Mikio Okumura CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2020. Okumura currently serves as Sompo Group's chief strategy officer, is an executive officer of Sompo Holdings and is a non-executive director of SIH having previously served as the CEO of Sompo Group's nursing care and healthcare business in Japan from April 1, 2016, until March, 31, 2019. Andrew Barile has been elected to the board of directors of Accident Insurance Company of New Mexico. Barile is the CEO of the Andrew Barile Consulting Corporation Inc. for the past 20 years. CFC appointed Angus Marshall as its transaction and liability practice leader. He joins the team from AIG, where he led the United Kingdom and London market M&A team for more than four years. Jeremy Barnett and Phelim Browne have been named co-global marketing leaders at Tokio Marine HCC. Brown, head of marketing for Tokio Marine HCC - International Group, assumes the new role after joining the company in January 2019. Barnett joined the company in April 2019 as part of the company's acquisition of NAS Insurance Services LLC. Distinguished Programs promoted Mark Kissick, president of American Hole In One, a company acquired by Distinguished Programs in 2017, to chief sales officer. The company also elevated Kurt Meister, formerly the senior vice president and national sales manager within the specialty division of Distinguished Programs, to the role of senior vice president, business development manager. Max Libman has been appointed lead underwriting consultant, sharing economy & new mobility, national insurance at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Libman was an innovation underwriter at Munich Re Specialty Insurance. Strategic Risk Solutions announced that Stephen Gray will be joining the company in early 2020. He joins from Wilis Towers Watson Management (Cayman) Limited, where he was managing director and executive vice president. Daniela Compton has been promoted to account manager within RT Specialty's national environment and construction professional liability practice. Prior to joining RT Specialty, she held numerous supervisory positions within the hospital industry. Next Insurance has announced the following appointments:
