11 years of service: Betsy Myatt, a champion of the industry (VIDEO)

IICF leaders discuss how Myatt led expansion efforts and organized IICF's hugely successful Women's Conference Series.

NUPC360 sat down with Betsy Myatt, along with IICF Board Chairs Barbara Bufkin and Hank Watkins, in a video interview on Myatt’s tenure at IICF and promotion to VP, CPO.

Since Betsy Myatt began her tenure at the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) in 2008, the industry’s largest charitable group has experienced significant growth, expanding its reach with new chapters and program offerings — much to Myatt’s credit.

As Executive Director of IICF’s Northeast Division, under Myatt’s leadership, this division expanded from the New York tri-state area to New England with a Boston Chapter, and into the Delaware Valley with a Philadelphia Chapter.

Myatt has also been primarily responsible for organizing IICF’s Women in Insurance Conference Series and is largely credited for its success. As the Conference Series’ chairwoman since its inception in 2013, Myatt directed the launch of IICF’s inaugural three-day Women in Insurance Global Conference and the introduction of its one-day Regional Forums.

Recognizing her efforts and impact, in August 2019, Myatt was promoted to Vice President, Chief Program Officer of IICF, in addition to her continued role as Northeast Division Executive Director.

NUPC360 sat down with Myatt, along with IICF Board Chairs Barbara Bufkin, executive head of business development, commercial lines at Assurant, and Hank Watkins, president of Lloyd’s America, to discuss her role in driving IICF’s growth and success over the last decade, and her plans for the group’s continued, evolving success in her new role as IICF’s VP, CPO.
