Data from YourMechanic.com ranked which states are the most expensive for car owners and breaks the analysis down further by listing the states with the highest average gas prices, highest average car insurance premiums, highest average mileage, highest average repair costs, and highest state vehicle property tax rates. Based on these sets of data, researchers at YourMechanic ranked all 50 states from most to least expensive for car owners.
