New partnership assists military families affected by Calif. earthquakes
A partnership between Sedgwick, Aon and Lincoln Military Housing is providing aid to military families impacted by earthquakes.
On the heels of a jubilant Fourth of July holiday, a series of earthquakes rattled Southern California. The 6.4-and 7.1-magnitude earthquakes hit near Ridgecrest, California, opening fault lines and causing widespread damage, much of it at China Lake Naval Station. The damage caused by the quakes displaced many of the armed services families located on the base.
To help the military families affected by the earthquakes, Cramer, Johnson, Wiggins & Associates (CJW), a division of Sedgwick, recently announced a partnership with both Aon and Lincoln Military Housing to provide aid to and assist the families.
“Sedgwick companies, including Cramer Johnson Wiggins & Associates and Sedgwick Field Services, are working closely with Aon Claim Advocates and Lincoln Military Housing employees to assist military personnel and families at the China Lake Naval Station in the aftermath of the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that damaged the base,” says Jim Devall, vice president of CJW.
Sedgwick is also assisting Lincoln Military Housing to help the families identify their damaged personal items and are working together to process claims to help limit the loss.
“The group has worked tirelessly to inspect over 200 of the damaged buildings and have issued countless payments for personal belongings damaged by the quake,” Devall continues. “Lincoln Military Housing has also replaced many appliances that were damage from the quake. Sedgwick, Aon and LMH continue to work closely together to bring the military personnel back to pre-loss condition.”
Sedgwick, Aon and Lincoln Military Housing will continue to offer on-site and off-site support to residents and personnel that live and operate out of China Lake Naval Station.
