NAIFA-NYS announces new leadership team of financial professionals
The officers and board members began their duties on July 1, 2019.
A new leadership team of financial professionals from across New York has taken charge of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-NYS (NAIFA-NYS). The new officers and board of directors terms will expire on Dec. 31, 2020.
The new NAIFA-NYS officers and board of directors include the following:
Officers
- Phillip Held – president
- Thomas Palmeri – president-elect
- Gary Cappon – secretary-treasurer
- Donald Damic – immediate past president and national committeeman
Board of directors
- Joshua Lauer – vice president, Buffalo region
- Jason Lurie – vice president, Capital region
- Thomas Wade – vice president, Chautauqua region
- Dean Purdy – vice president, Hudson Valley
- Chris Gibbons – vice president, Ithaca region
- John Hobika – vice president, Mohawk Valley
- Neal Miller – at-large board member
NAIFA-NYS delegates approved the new leadership team on June 6, during the NAIFA-NYS annual meeting. The officers and board members began their duties on July 1, 2019.
“It is an honor to lead an organization that, since 1919, has been the exclusive voice for life insurance agents in New York,” President Phillip Held said in a statement, “and to work with colleagues who, representing towns from Buffalo to Long Island, have a true understanding of the business climate throughout the state.”
