Julie Mix McPeak will join global law firm Greenberg Traurig‘s insurance regulatory and transactions practice. She previously served as the commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance before stepping down.
Europ Assistance, part of the Generali Group, appointed Christina Anagnostopoulou group HR and organization director. Prior to joining the global team in Paris, Anagnostopoulou served as the HR and organization director for Europ Assistance Italy.
Lindsey Frase joined TigerRisk Partners LLC as a partner and member of the company’s North American current client division. Frase started her reinsurance industry career straight out of college working for Guy Carpenter, becoming an assistant vice president in the process.
CopperPoint Insurance Companies announced Ken Kirk, Stephen Tully, Ronnie Lopez, LoriAnn Lowery-Biggers, Judith Patrick, Marc Schmittlein and Don Smith have all been re-elected to the board of directors for CopperPoint Mutual Insurance Holding Company. Maureen Sweeney and Mike Tully have also been elected as two new members.
James Muckway has been hired as the manager of Tenco Services Inc.’s Louisville, Ky., branch office. Over his 29 years of claims handling experience, his responsibilities and titles have included property claims unit manager at Crawford & Company, senior manager/executive general adjuster at BrightClaim and president/owner of Reliable Claims Service Inc.
RT Specialty LLC has promoted Jamie Lawson to a senior account manager within its national environmental and construction professional liability practice. Prior to joining the organization, Lawson held a variety of positions at Liberty Insurance Associates, Haines and Haines/TC Irons Agency and Wesley Insurance Service Agency.
Lydia Bashwiner has been selected to the board of directors of the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey. Active in the organization, she serves as the vice chair of the government affairs committee and the legislative legal review subcommittee.
Artex Risk Solutions announced the following appointments within its international division:
- Scott Cobon - promoted to managing director, Bermuda
- Rob Eastham - moving into the new role of executive chairman of Artex Bermuda
- Paul Eaton - appointed managing director, insurance linked securities
- Mike Matthews - joined Artex as commercial director, Artex International
Cover Genius appointed Austin Ledgerwood head of strategic partnerships – mobility, Americas. Ledgerwood came to Cover Genius from Flexdrive, where he was the head of client success.
Judy Floyd will transition to vice president of quality assurance at the North American Risk Services Inc. (NARS). Over her 18-year career at NARS, Floyd has served in a variety of leadership roles and brings a tremendous amount of technical experience to the position.
AXA XL has named Robert Klepper chief underwriting officer, short tail insurance lines. He joins AXA XL from AIG, where he most recently served as president of client risk solutions.
Jon Diessner has been promoted to vice president of operations at Kraus-Anderson Insurance. He began his career with Kraus-Anderson Realty in 2009 as an assistant property manager; in 2017, he was promoted to director of operations.
Origami Risk appointed Azam Makki and Bill Schwacke as senior sales executives focusing on the health care sector. Makki was previously a senior vice president and director of healthcare client services at Marsh ClearSight. Schwacke was previously a senior vice president and healthcare practice leader for Marsh ClearSight.
Jeff Brown will serve as the CEO of Mivation, a software product and technology company for insurance compensation and productivity improvement. He previously served as the executive vice president of Imprezzio, an insurance-specific software company.
Lance Smith has become the sixth chair of the MEMIC board of directors. He has been a member of the workers’ compensation specialist’s board since 2012 and has served on the executive committee, audit committee, governance & nominating committee and has chaired the compensation committee.
American Technologies Inc. announced three promotions and four new executive appointments:
- Jeff Moore - promoted to co-president
- Ryan Moore - promoted to co-president
- Scott Moore - promoted to executive vice president of operations & environmental, health and safety
- Kelly Kambs - appointed to chief operating officer
- Marc Webb - appointed to vice president of marketing & communications
