People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: June 14, 2019

Monarch E&S Insurance Services, a division of SPG Insurance Solutions, hired Stefanie McLeod as vice president, personal lines manager. She is a seasoned insurance professional who for the last 16 years has worked as an underwriter specializing in personal lines insurance.

David Lewis will be joining Strategic Risk Solutions Europe on October 1. He joins the firm from Willis Towers Watson where he held an executive member position in the global captive practice.

GuideOne Insurance appointed Chris Ward vice president of distribution management. Ward joins GuideOne from CNA Financial Corporation, where he served as assistant vice president of sales & distribution.

Kris Hill has been appointed president, alternative markets at QBE North America. She joined QBE in January 2017 as chief financial officer.

Everest Insurance added two members to its retail excess casualty team:

• Erin Bourein will be leading the team’s Western territory as vice president
• Mike Ludy joins as a director

Worldwide Facilities Marine, a division of Worldwide Facilities, added Leah Koontz to its Los Angeles team as a senior associate broker. Koontz has been in the marine insurance business for more than 20 years, beginning with her working as a yacht underwriter for INAMAR.

Brian Specht has joined Coalition as the head of affinity. Prior to joining Coalition, he worked as chief underwriting officer and chief broking officer of Aon Affinity U.S., the consumer, association and program business of Aon Risk Solutions.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS) announced the following rearrangements to the management team of its specialty business segment:

• Ulrich Kadow, currently chief agent of AGCS Canada, will be appointed as AGCS global head of marine, effective July 1, 2019.
• Tom Fadden, formerly the regional head of aviation for regional unit London and global airline product leader, has been appointed as AGCS global head of aviation.

Christopher J. Schubert has joined Pinnacle Actuarial Resources Inc. as a consulting actuary in the firm’s Atlanta office. He has over eight years of property & casualty actuarial experience.

OneBeacon Financial Institutions, a member of OneBeacon Insurance Group, announced that James Hamilton has joined the company as vice president overseeing regional operations. He was most recently responsible for underwriting and managing the Everest Canada financial lines portfolio Everest Re.

Ryan T. G. Darby has been hired as vice president at XS Brokers. His most recent role was vice president of commercial underwriting at a regional independent wholesale broker.

SageSure Insurance Managers, a subsidiary of Insight Catastrophe Group, announced the following appointments:

• Alan Lange - vice president, homeowners pricing actuary
• Tawana Scott - vice president, commercial insurance product
