Brit Ltd appointed James Drew head of outwards reinsurance, effective July 1, 2019. He was most recently head of reinsurance at Aviva.

Brian Winters has been appointed head of sales and distribution, U.S. commercial insurance for Zurich North America. He was previously the head of specialty products.

Terrene Labs, which provides a suite of SME risk information and intelligence solutions for property & casualty insurers, announced that Kabir Syed has joined its board of directors. Syed first gained recognition throughout the insurance industry as CEO of RiskMatch, an insurance intelligence company he founded in 2013.

Peter A. Stroili has joined Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP (KDV) as an insurance coverage partner in its New York City office. Prior to joining KDV, Stroili was a partner at D’Amato & Lynch.

The Doctors Company, a physician-owned medical malpractice insurer, appointed Howard Mills to the board of governors. Mills is the former global insurance regulatory leader at Deloitte.

Mike Fagan has been promoted to president of operations at Instec, a provider of insurance software for commercial program and specialty writers. Most recently, Fagan was vice president of engagement and product management.

Willis Towers Watson announced a series of personnel appointments across its Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) operations in Florida:

Victor Insurance Holdings announced the appointment of Anthony Stevens as president of Victor International. He was previously head of international development for Marsh’s global risk and digital division.

Jocelyn Getson has been hired on Slice Labs as the head of cyber. Prior to Slice, Getson served as vice president of partnership strategy for a leading service contract provider.

Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA) hired Lauren Davis as director of marketing. Davis, who previously worked as a trauma nurse at the University of Missouri Hospital, will also oversee the marketing efforts of sister company POWERS Insurance & Risk Management.

Robert Klinger of Klinger Insurance Group was elected president of The American Insurance Marketing and Sales (AIMS) Society. AIMS Society also announced two new board members: Lisa Parry Becker of William B. Parry & Son LTD and Quincy Branch of Branch Benefits Consultants.

Pinnacle Actuarial Resources Inc. announced that Greg Frankowiak has joined the firm as a senior consulting actuary in the firm’s Bloomington, Ind. office. Prior to consulting, he worked for a leading primary insurance carrier where he was responsible for the development and executive of predictive analytics strategies as part of its pricing and underwriting functions.

Todd Hartline has been appointed vice president of information technology at ICW Group Insurance Companies. Before joining ICW Group, he was the chief information officer and vice president of information technology at Admiral Insurance.

The International Association of Special Investigations Units, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a coordinated effort within the insurance industry to combat insurance fraud, announced Geoff Keah will serve on the board of directors until September 2020. He is the SIU leader at Esurance.

Doug Pearson has been appointed senior vice president, chief underwriting officer of GuideOne Insurance. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, chief underwriting officer at Continental Western Group.
