Ralph Blust has been named CEO of National Flood Services (NFS). He will replace interim CEO George Ruhana, who will continue in his role as an operating partner. Blust joins NFS after an acquisition by PEAK6 last year.

“NFS is the leader in flood insurance solutions and I am honored and excited to be joining such a talented team and helping NFS accomplish its next phase of growth,” said Blust, according to a press release. “The combination of the company’s expertise in flood insurance, and the ambition and technology capabilities of PEAK6 means there is no one better placed to create a new era of growth and customer focus in the insurance space.”

Today, NFS services more than 1.8 million flood policies and $1.5 billion flood insurance premium annually for their clients. They helped more than 35,000 families rebuild their lives after flooding during the past year.
