Independent specialist reinsurance broker BMS Group appointed Nick Moss chief financial officer. Moss joins from JLT Re.

Mark Millard has been appointed managing director and leader of the newly-created insurance risk advisory group in BDO USA LLP‘s forensic investigation & litigation services practice.

Fred C. Church Insurance has appointed George H. Lucas director of business development. Lucas has been operating as a sales consultant for Fred C. Church since 2015.

Phil Alampi has been promoted to vice president of customer engagement at DataCubes. Prior to DataCubes, he was the senior director of marketing at LexisNexis Risk Solutions.

EverQuote Inc. announced that Paul Deninger has joined its board of directors. He currently serves as a senior advisor to Evercore Inc.; he also serves on the boards of directors of Iron Mountain and Resideo Technologies.

National aggregator and managing general agent New Age has announced the following appointments:

• Michael Ascher - regional manager, business development
• Joseph Chang - underwriting manager

Danielle Teran has joined All Risks Ltd. as brokerage underwriter to the South Central region. Prior to this, she served as commercial lines underwriter for Tryton Insurance Group LLC.

International specialist insurer Hiscox appointed Melissa Hill head of claims in the United States. Before this, Hill was the chief claims officer at Blackboard Insurance Company.

Daniela Marino has joined Hudson United Mortgage Services‘ New Jersey team as mortgage loan originator. She most recently focused her efforts working directly with home buyers and homeowners.

NFP announced John Hyland, senior vice president of NFP property & casualty, is assuming leadership of its Surety division. Prior to NFP, Hyland was a principal of The Hyde Agency, a New York-based surety and insurance specialist serving the construction industry.

Hannah Altomare has been promoted to senior account manager within RT Specialty LLC‘s national environment and construction professional liability practice. Prior to joining RT New Day, a division of RT Specialty, Altomare served as a claims consultant at Connor Strong & Buckelew in Philadelphia, Pa., and commercial lines account manager at Dash & Love Inc. in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.

Newfront Insurance, a retail insurance brokerage, announced the following appointments:

• Adrianne Peixotto - principal and head of personal lines
• Garett Kaneko - head of carrier relations and strategic insurance partnerships

Taylor Rhodes was named Applied Systems‘ next CEO, effective June 3, 2019. Most recently, he served as CEO of SMS Assist, a cloud-based software platform for multi-site property management.

CNA appointed Erin Gattoni vice president, human resources, CNA Canada. Gattoni has 13 years of industry experience and joins CNA from Chubb, where she held a hybrid role as AVP, senior human resources business partner in Toronto and AVP, talent and development consultant in North America.

AmeriTrust Group Inc. announced the following promotions:

• Kevin Risen - senior vice president, national sales and distribution
• Doug Helms - senior vice president of admitted underwriting operations

Hamilton Re, the Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance platform for Hamilton Insurance Group, promoted Hanni Ali to senior vice president, risk & analytics. Ali, who joined Hamilton in July 2014, leads the risk & analytics function at Hamilton Re.

Joe Fitzgerald has been appointed chief underwriting officer of North American entertainment at OneBeacon Insurance Group. He has been leading OneBeacon Entertainment since 2016 and currently serves as president of the U.S. entertainment business, which he will continue to oversee in addition to his appointment.

NJM Insurance Group‘s board of directors elected Joan Wainwright as its newest member. Wainwright is the president of channel and customer experience at TE Connectivity.

Kristen Freda has been appointed production underwriter at SterlingRisk Insurance. She comes to SterlingRisk from Brady Risk Management Inc.

Fidelis Group Holdings LLC, with its subsidiary Continental Underwriters Ltd., hired Peter Knowles as senior vice president of West Coast operations. He will also be a senior underwriter within the group’s brown water hull and liabilities product lines.

Jim Murphy has joined FRISS as vice president of products for North America. Before joining FRISS, he served in similar roles at IBM, MetLife and Genpact.

Guy Carpenter & Company LLC announced a series of international leadership appointments:
