At least nine Americans die and 100 are injured annually in distracted driving accidents, according to the National Safety Council.
That organization sponsors distracted driving month each spring to raise awareness around the dangers to drivers and passengers of using cell phones, dashboard touchscreens, voice commands and other in-vehicle technologies while inside a moving vehicle.
The following infographic from the May 2019 issue of National Underwriter Property & Casualty magazine further explores this phenomenon and illustrates whose most at risk.
