People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: April 26, 2019

Everest Insurance announced that Dawn Gregg has joined the company as a vice president within the risk management division. Gregg was most recently a vice president at AIG responsible for the portfolio management of several regional offices.

Jay Hooley has been elected to Liberty Mutual‘s board of directors. He is the chairman and former CEO of State Street Corporation.

Aite Group has launched a new practice, Fraud & AML, that will encompass all areas of banking and payment fraud and AML, including coverage across banking, wealth management, insurance and payments, which Aite group research director Julie Conroy will spearhead. Joining her on the team are senior analysts Shirley Inscoe, Tony Kaus and Ron van Wezel, as well as research associate Jamie Regehr.

Kurt Close has joined Valent Group, the risk consulting and insurance division of EBSCO Industries, to lead the Birmingham property & casualty broking and service departments. He comes to Valent Group after spending close to 29 years with Travelers Insurance, most recently as managing director.

AAdvantage Insurance Group has announced the following hires:

Spencer has confirmed Lori Seidenberg to its board of directors, effective immediately. She is a director and the global head of real assets insurance risk management for BlackRock Inc.

Carrie-Ann Crockett has been appointed vice president of personal lines to lead Meeker Sharkey & Hurley‘s team of personal line professionals providing home, auto and additional specialized coverage. Prior to this, Crockett served as personal lines manager for the Schechner-Lifson agency, the account team lead for Hughes-Plumer & Associates, as well as Wachovia Insurance Services.

Jonathan Colello will join PartnerRe as CEO, P&C Americas, and president of Partner Reinsurance Company of the U.S., effective July 1, 2019. Most recently, Colello has served as president of North America for AXIS Re.
