Promoting disaster resilience with Farmers Insurance at IICF's Media Day
At IICF's Media Day, Farmers presented their three pillars of corporate responsibility, one being disaster resilience.
Earlier this month, the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) hosted its annual IICF and Key Partners Media Day in New York City to celebrate the industry’s shared philanthropy efforts and recognize the different charitable causes of 13 different insurance companies.
The presentations demonstrated the wide range of causes these organizations support and celebrated the collective impact of IICF and its partners’ charitable efforts.
Taking a closer look at the wide range of causes these organizations support, PC360 met with a few representatives from IICF’s partners to discuss each of their organization’s charitable missions.
Building resilient communities with Farmers Insurance
Alexandra Saad, Manager of Chief Administrative Office Strategic Initiatives at Farmers Insurance presented Farmers’ three pillars of corporate responsibility: disaster resilience, education and civic engagement.
Working with some of their charitable partners, Farmers’ corporate giving projects focus on building and rebuilding resilient communities before and after disaster strikes.
The second pillar of Farmers’ charitable work extends to investing in youth communities, improving access to education, and job readiness. Their third pillar focuses on their local communities, supporting areas nearby to help meet basic needs such as hunger and homelessness.
