Kathleen Zortman has joined American International Group Inc. (AIG) as president and CEO of private client group, general insurance. Zortman joins AIG from QBE Insurance Group where she served as president of property & casualty, North America.

AIG also announced that Rich Baich will join the company as senior vice president, chief information security officer, effective April 22, 2019. He is joining AIG from Wells Fargo & Company, where he served as chief information security officer since 2012.

Munich Reinsurance America Inc. has appointed Adam Edelstein chief operating officer for Munich Re Specialty Insurance, a new commercial insurance unit in North America. He joins Munich Re Specialty Insurance from a boutique insurance-focused consultancy where he recently led the build and launch of a revolutionary commercial insurance product for a major multinational company.

Steve Rasmussen, CEO at Nationwide, announced that he plans to retire effective Oct. 1, 2019. Prior to being named CEO of Nationwide in February 2009, he was president and chief operating officer of the company’s property & casualty insurance division from 2003 to 2009.

Chubb has appointed Jonathan Kennett head of financial institutions for the United Kingdom and Ireland and Chubb Global Markets (CGM), the insurer’s London market wholesale and specialty arm. He previously served as financial institutions manager for the U.K. and Ireland.

Janelle Edem has been appointed chief of staff, global risk solutions (GRS) at Liberty Mutual. Most recently, Edem served as general manager, UPS distribution and service for GRS’ national insurance operation.

iA Financial Group has announced the following appointments:

Steve Rivera has joined as a partner at The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers. He joins with 16 years of insurance experience from prior stops at Countrywide Insurance Services, Bank of America Private Risk Division and Momentous Insurance Brokerage.

SterlingRisk Insurance has hired Angelina M. Bocanegra as alternative market program director. Bocanegra comes to SterlingRisk from JLNY Group LLC where she served as marketing manager, business development.

Angela Daisy has been appointed to the Professional Insurance Marketing Association‘s board of directors. She is the managing director at Value Group Direct LLC, a full-service advertising agency specializing in direct response marketing.
