Risk managers work hard for the money [infographic]

They often tout educational advancement and the chance to specialize in a particular field among the attractive aspects of a risk management career.

Risk managers, on the whole, tend to be highly educated, with more than 80% of them boasting college diplomas or master’s degrees, according to reporting included in our 2019 Risk Manager Compensation Survey.

It follows that risk managers often tout educational advancement as well as the opportunity to specialize in a particular field among the attractive aspects of their career.

The graphic below from the April 2019 issue of National Underwriter Property & Casualty magazine takes a closer look at the professionals who responded to our survey including the types of industries with which they work, the number of years they’ve dedicated to their jobs, and the career longevity they enjoy with individual employers.
