Venture Insurance Programs has announced a strategic relationship with the American Red Cross to provide policyholders with access to risk control resources, award recognition programs for lifesavers and discounted training backed by the Red Cross. With this new relationship, Venture policyholders will gain access to an emergency preparedness app, as well as several American Red Cross services such as discounted automated external defibrillators and CPR training, water safety training, first aid training and more.

GuideWire Software Inc. announced that Guidewire ClaimCenter, its non-life insurance claims management system, has been selected by Rakuten General Insurance Co. Ltd. for its automobile insurance business. Guidewire ClaimCenter will enable integrated claims management, which has previously been handled by several individual systems, such as contract content inquiry system, accident negotiation system and insurance premium payment system.

Santam, a general insurer in South Africa, has selected Guidewire ClaimCenter as its platform for claims management. An existing Guidewire client, Santam will implement ClaimCenter for its personal and commercial lines of business, across direct and intermediated distribution channels.

J.J. Keller & Associates Inc. announced that the J.J. Keller Encompass Video Event Management solution and Dash Cam Pro will become available in early 2019, offering an additional way for fleets of all sizes to manage risk, identify problematic driver behavior and provide remedial coaching and training. J.J. Keller’s dash-mounted camera technology reads traffic signs and records driving footage.

Genpact has partnered with HOVER to strengthen its virtual adjusting services to provide a better experience for insurance carriers and their customers. Genpact’s virtual adjusting services incorporate digital technologies for self-service, photo inspect and technical inspections made by adjusters.

Patriot Growth Insurance Services LLC, a national retail insurance agency, announced that Turner Insurance & Bonding Company has joined the Patriot platform. Turner provides surety, insurance and risk management products to a diverse construction client base.

Promutuel Insurance has extended the deployment of Guidewire PolicyCenter to its personal lines of business. The company also completed deployment of two additional products: Guidewire DataHub and Guidewire CustomerEngage.

Roost has partnered with Florida’s Gulstream Property and Casualty Insurance Company. In an agreement reached to increase policyholder engagement as well as reduce claims costs, Gulfstream will pilot a program to offer either a free Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detector or a Roost Smart Battery to select new and existing policyholders.

Cerity, a digital-first company offering workers’ compensation quotes and policies, has launched the initial rollout of their brand-new business. The direct-to-consumer online distribution is backed by Duck Creek Policy and Duck Creek Billing, both delivered via Duck Creek OnDemand.
