Asbestos, environmental claims continue to climb

It’s been more than four decades since asbestos consumption piqued in the United States as well as worldwide, and three decades since the Environmental Protection Agency banned asbestos manufacturing in the U.S.

Nonetheless, A.M. Best recently reported that asbestos and environmental contamination claims continue to rise. The following graphic from the January 2019 issue of National Underwriter Property & Casualty magazine takes a closer look.
